Payment Options 

Union County Water offers multiple payment methods to meet your needs. This page explains all the details for paying your bill online, automatically through e-billing, in person, by phone, or any other method.  

Payments must be made by 5 p.m. on the day your billing statement is due. If payment is not received by 5 p.m. on your due date, then you may incur a penalty or you may be disconnected from service. Learn how you can Restore Service After Disconnection.  


Recommended Payment Options: No Service Fee

  • Automatic, recurring payments
  • Enroll in your preferred option and never forget a payment again
 
  • How it works: you will receive your bill as usual in the mail each month - either a bill in the mail (our default option) or E-billing (as described in the green box at the bottom of this page), depending on the preferences you have selected. A message will appear on your bill stating that your account will be drafted for the net amount of the bill. The draft will occur on your billing statement's due date. If the due date is on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, the draft will occur on the prior business day. The Automatic Bank Draft fund transfer will be shown on your bank statement like any other transaction.

Additional Payment Options: No Service Fee

  • These are great options if you are not ready to set up recurring payments but want to avoid paying a service fee.  
  • one-time payments only, not recurring payments 
  • for customers sending checks by mail: please allow time for mail delivery and processing by 5 p.m. on the day your bill is due.

Additional Payment Options: With a Service Fee

  • $3.25 service fee per transaction - paid to our third-party payment processing vendor to cover our costs of providing this service.
  • most of these options are one-time payments only.
    • recurrent payments are available for credit cards; the service fee applies per transaction. 
  • to save time and money, enroll in our automatic bank draft or automatic electronic check payment option listed above.

Call 704-292-2537 to pay by credit or debit card. You can also call this number to check your balance or verify payment status. The service fee only applies if you use this phone number to make a payment. 
Paperless Billing
Regardless of how you choose to pay your bill, you can choose to opt out of receiving printed bills in the mail from us. This is an option available to you in our Customer Portal. If you choose this option, you can choose to receive electronic bill notifications via email and view your billing statement online.
