When you have a utility right-of-way and/or easement crossing your property, it is important that access by our staff is not restricted. We must be able to reach our infrastructure for routine maintenance and required repairs. Union County Water is not responsible for the repair or replacement of any unauthorized items found in, located on, or limiting access to a right-of-way and/or easement. Items may include, but are not limited to:

• Lighting
• Irrigation systems
• Fencing, retaining walls
• Trees, shrubs, landscape materials

Water pressure issues are almost always an issue with your home's plumbing's system. If you have water pressure issues at one sink and not another, you may have a stopped up aerator in your problem sink. If you have water pressure issues throughout your home, you may have issues with your pressure reducing valve. Water pressure exists at different rates at different points between our system and your home. Typically, the water pressure in a public water system can fluctuate in order to ensure that water reaches every customer in the system. To help ensure that water reaches every customer at the right pressure level and in a way that your home's plumbing system can accommodate, your home should be equipped with a pressure reducing valve, or PRV, which regulates the pressure of the water that leaves our public water supply system and enters your home. Like all plumbing materials, PRVs deteriorate over time and should be replaced by the homeowner every 3-5 years.
