Welcome to UCW 500x600

Welcome!

Union County Water provides water and wastewater services to nearly 60,000 customer accounts across our service area. We would be delighted to welcome you as a new customer!

Determining Eligibility

Before you apply for new service, we encourage you to confirm with your realtor, landlord or the previous tenant of your home that your property is served by Union County Water. While we proudly serve customers with addresses in Fairview, Hemby Bridge, Indian Trail, Marshville, Marvin, Matthews, Mineral Springs, Stallings, Unionville, Waxhaw, Weddington, Wesley Chapel, and Wingate, not all areas in Union County are served by Union County Water.

Properties in Union County may also receive water and wastewater service from the municipalities of Marshville, Monroe or Wingate; links to these water systems are available at the bottom of this page. Some locations in Union County are not served by any public water or wastewater systems and are dependent on wells and septic systems.

Properties Served by Union County Water

If your property is already connected to our system, then starting service is fairly simple. Complete this New Service Application and Agreement and select “New Service” to request to start service with us. It can take 3-7 business days to process applications. Water and wastewater service will begin the following business day after the application has been processed. After we receive your application, a member of our Customer Care team will contact you using the information you provide in your application.

Properties NOT Yet Served by Union County Water

If your property is NOT already connected to our system, then we will need more information. Please send us an email with your name, your phone number, the property's address and/or parcel ID, and what kind of service you are requesting: water, sewer, or both. Our staff will determine if it is eligible to receive service from us, and if so, what would be required for you to connect to our system. When that information has been determined, our staff will follow up with you.

Short Water Line Program

The Short Water Line Extension Program was created to provide residents with a low-cost option to connect to the County's water system. This program is subject to funding allocations, which are determined during the County's budget deliberations in the spring of each year. At this time, we are not taking applications for this program. If you would like to be notified about future opportunities to participate in this program, please provide your email address here.
