If your property is already connected to our system, then starting service is simple! 

Before you apply for new service, please confirm with your realtor, homebuilder, landlord, or the previous tenant of your home that your property is served by Union County Water.

Complete this New Service Application and Agreement and select “New Service” to request service with us.

It can take 3-7 business days to process applications. Water and wastewater service will begin the following business day after the application has been processed. After we receive your application, a member of our Customer Care team will contact you using the information you provide in your application.  

If your property is NOT already connected to our system, then we will need more information to determine if you can connect to our system.  

Please send us an email with your name, your phone number, the property's address and/or parcel ID, and what kind of service you are requesting: water, sewer, or both. Our staff will determine if your property is eligible to receive service from us, and if so, what would be required for you to connect to our system.  

While we proudly serve customers with addresses in Fairview, Hemby Bridge, Indian Trail, Marshville, Marvin, Matthews, Mineral Springs, Monroe, Stallings, Unionville, Waxhaw, Weddington, Wesley Chapel, and Wingate, not all areas in Union County are served by Union County Water. 

Some properties in Union County receive water and wastewater service from the municipalities of Marshville, Monroe or Wingate, while some areas are not served by any public water systems and are dependent on wells and septic systems.  

If you are moving to Union County and your home is served by well water and/or a private septic system, we encourage you to contact Union County Environmental Health for information about wells and well testing and on-site wastewater disposal (septic) systems. 

Short Water Line Program

The Short Water Line Extension Program was created to provide residents with a low-cost option to connect to the County's water system. This program is subject to funding allocations, which are determined during the County's budget deliberations in the spring of each year. At this time, we are not taking applications for this program.
