Our Water Quality

Union County Water is proud to provide drinking water that meets or exceeds all state and federal standards for water quality.

We publish an annual report to the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality that contains an overview our water quality for that year. These annual reports include details about our sources of water, what is in our drinking water, and how it compares to standards set by state and federal regulatory agencies. 

When this annual report is published in late May/early June each year, we notify all customers by email and via a notice on our billing statements. To ensure you are notified when this annual report is published, please Contact Customer Care to inform us of any changes to your contact information.
