Due to inclement weather, County leadership is making the following operational adjustments to keep employees and residents safe:
-
Tuesday, Feb. 3: Most County facilities and services will open with a delay starting at 1 p.m. All Union County Library locations will open late and close early, operating 1-5 p.m. on Tuesday. Due to the ongoing threat of wet roads refreezing, some County services will remain closed on Tuesday, including:
-
Waste and recycling sites, including the County landfill, will be closed to the public all day Tuesday, Feb. 3.
-
County parks will be closed to the public all day Tuesday, Feb. 3.
-
Transportation services will not operate on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
-
All home deliveries in the Senior Nutrition program are canceled on Tuesday, Feb. 3, and congregate meal sites are closed. Clients have received shelf-stable meals for emergencies.
Essential public safety services will remain operational 24/7. The safety of our residents, employees, visitors, and volunteers is our priority. Please stay home until the threat of severe weather ends and the roads are clear so safety crews, utility personnel and emergency management staff can have access to better serve you.
- Wednesday, Feb. 4: All County operations will return to normal. Thank you for your patience as we made operational adjustments due to inclement weather.
